A commercial pilot license is a type of pilot license that permits the holder to act as a pilot of an aircraft and be paid for his/her work. The basic requirements to obtain the license and the privileges it confers are agreed upon internationally by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Is it hard to become a commercial pilot?
If becoming an airline pilot is your career objective; learning to fly an actual airplane is not the most difficult part. Some smaller, regional airlines might require no more than a two-year degree, but if your goal is to one day captain a large, commercial jet, get your bachelor's degree.
Is a commercial pilot a good career?
There are good pilot jobs (fewer each day,) and bad pilot jobs (more each day.) For the actual work, if the weather is good, nothing breaks, autopilot works, you like your copilot, and everything is on schedule... it's a pretty easy job. It also depends on what you consider good.
Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as major subjects at 10+2 level. They must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 50% aggregate.
- There are some institutes that require Physics or Mathematics as major subjects or B.E/ B.Tech degree in graduation.
Physical Fitness:
- The minimum height should be 162.5 cms (with correlated weight).
- Eye Vision should be 6/6. (Candidates must not suffer from color or night blindness).
