M.Sc in Physics Course Overview
The branch of science is concerned with the study of matter, its motion, and behavior with reference to space and time along with the concept of energy and force. In short, it can be said that it is the study of nature and properties of matter along with forces applicable to that and the energy it possesses.
Physics is derived from the Greek word physique that literally means "knowledge of nature".
Course Description:
As it is a Master Degree Program the minimum time to complete the course is two years. The mode of completion, of course, includes theoretical as well as practical sessions. It is a full course.
What is Master of Science [M.Sc] (Physics)?
As it is based upon proven facts through derived theories, it is a very practical branch of science. It is the analysis of nature and properties of matter in the relation of time, space, with force and energy gradients. One can pursue his/her carrier in Research and Development also after completion of the course, or go for Ph.D. for further studies.
A master's degree in physics combines advanced coursework with laboratory research in fields such as astrophysics, biophysics, material physics, or nonlinear dynamics.
Subjects that are mainly undertaken during the curriculum are Mathematical Physics, Electromagnetic Theory, Mechanics Quantum, and Statistical Modern Optics.
Eligibility Criteria
- One should be graduate in any disciple either with Physics or Mathematics from a recognized University.
- The minimum aggregate of graduation required to get admission in M.Sc Physics is 50% that can vary among various Universities.
