M.Tech with a specialization in Environmental Engineering is a master’s degree or a postgraduate course which is offered in many universities in India. It generally requires two years to complete when done on a regular basis. Students can also pursue this course in correspondence basis but the duration, in this case, may vary.
The course is designed to introduce students with the required skills and techniques in minimizing waste and pollution (air, water, soil).
M.Tech in Environmental Engineering is all about using principles of engineering and soil science, chemistry and biology to develop solutions for environmental issues. It includes the study of wastewater management, waste disposal, recycling, radiation protection, air pollution control, environmental sustainability and industrial hygiene.
