M.Tech with a specialization in Biotechnology is a Master’s degree taken after a Bachelor’s degree which generally requires two years to complete. Students can also pursue this course through distance learning however the duration of the course in his case may vary.
The objective of this course is to equip students with the professional skills and knowledge that are required in the field of Biotechnology.
M.Tech in Biotechnology basically deals with the use of technology in biological processes of living organisms (plants, animals, micro-organisms, etc). It also includes the study of several other topics like drug target discovery, molecular mechanisms of action, functional and evolutionary genomics and Proterozoic, microbial biodiversity, bioprocess, and industrial biotechnology, etc.
