M. D. Obstetrics and Gynecology or Doctor of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a three-year post-graduate degree course in Obstetrics and Gynecology which happen to be two surgical-medical specialties concerned with the female reproductive system in their pregnant and non-pregnant state, clubbed as a single medical specialty and postgraduate program. It specializes in Obstetrics Pathology, Gynecological Obstetrics and Gynecology, complications in Obstetrics and Gynecology, common disorders and systematic diseases, complicated and abnormal pregnancies, common obstetric operations, neonatal hygiene, infant care, breastfeeding, artificial feeding, birth injuries, management of premature child, common disorders of a newborn baby and so on. This course is highly career-oriented on completion.

Who can opt for MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology?

A candidate who wants to enroll for a course in M.D. Obstetrics and Gynecology should have cleared his M.B.B.S degree with a minimum of 55% score marks.
