B.F.Sc. Course Overview

B.Sc. in Fisheries (B.F.Sc.) is a 4-year full-time undergraduate graduate course divided into 8 semesters. The course focuses on the fishing sector and its many sub-divisions.


The program involves the application of concepts of Biology and Physical Science to a study of fish, their ecosystem, food habits, diseases occurring in them, and breeding practice.

B.F.Sc. Course Eligibility

  • Candidates should clear Class XII with science as a mandatory stream from a recognized board.
  • Candidates should score a minimum percentage in Class XII with PCB/ PCM /PCMB/Agriculture (usually 45% - 60%) as stipulated by the university/ college in which they are seeking admission.
  • Candidates should be a minimum of 17 and maximum age for the course should not be more than 35 years.
