The demand for several minerals has seen an exponential increase leading to a requirement of skilled professionals in the mining industry. This course allows students to understand all the latest technology pertaining to mining and extraction of natural resources.
This course is for a duration of 4 years. It follows the semester system, and is divided into 8 semesters. The course is designed to fulfill the growing demand for skilled mining engineers. The average fees are between 2 to 10 lakh INR. Students can choose from various career options such as processing, capital equipment, locomotive platform, education, and mining equipment.
The course trains students in extraction of minerals using techniques that are efficient and sustainable. They also learn how to process mineral commodities. The objective is to help students find innovative mining techniques that can curb the damages caused by mining. Judicious use of the extracted resources and recovery of these resources form the main content of this course. There are several specializations including industrial management, rock mechanics, environmental sciences, design of structures, ventilation, computer applications, and several other related subjects.
Students who apply for this course should have completed 10+2 with an aggregate of 50%. Subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry are compulsory in most institutions.
