Master of Arts [M.A.] in Mass Communication is a postgraduate course that is offered in the domain of mass media in most universities in India.
The focus of this course is on cultural issues, media productions, communication theories, media techniques, and regulations in India. The course is spread across two years. The course follows a four-semester program. The tuition fee for the course is between INR 50,000 to three Lakh is based on the institution that you choose.
You can even opt for institutions that provide a comprehensive postgraduate degree in Journalism and mass communication. Today there are several colleges that aim at reaching out to students with different skills.
The importance of this course does not lie in its hierarchical position in a student’s academic life. The course is aimed at providing students with in-depth knowledge about all the practices related to Mass Communication in modern media.
You need to have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in any field of education that has a term of 3 years. In some colleges, students of Medicine or Engineering are not permitted to take up this course. In some institutions, there is also an age limit of 30 years. Students with prior work experience are preferred over those with none.
Most colleges conduct an individual or combined entrance test, followed by a personal interview to decide whether a candidate may be admitted or not. So, you can submit a form and take these tests.
