Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the intellect for which a monopoly is assigned to designated owners by law. Intellectual property rights (IPRs) are the protections granted to the creators of IP, which includes trademarks, copyright, patents, industrial design rights, and in some jurisdictions trade secrets.
The course will be covered through an array of activities including project work, assignments, counseling, and teleconferencing. The main subjects include Introduction to Law, Overview of Intellectual Property, Copyright and Design Law, Patents, Advanced IP Issues, etc.
