LL.M with a concentration in Taxation Law is a postgraduate degree course that is offered in many universities in India. The course can be done on a regular basis or correspondence basis. Generally, the duration of this course is two years but this may vary in case of correspondence.
The course is designed to introduce students to the concepts of taxation which include governmental assessment upon estates of the deceased, property value, licenses granting a right/ income, transactions and duties on imports from foreign countries, etc.
Students with having LL.M degree in Taxation Law can seek employment in law firms, banks, government agencies, and MNCs, etc.
