Information technology (IT) is the study of the design, administration, and support of computers along with telecommunications systems. It is the combined application of computers and the internet to store, retrieve, manipulate and transmit data which changes into information after process upon it.
Master Of Science in Information Technology is a postgraduate two-year academic program. This can be further divided into four semesters.
At the end of the fourth-semester students has to submit a major project. This course basically a full-time course but few of the Universities offers it part-time or through distance learning with an extended duration of a few academic months.
As the nature of this course is most jobs creation, this is one of the popular courses pursued by the students. As it helps to understand and apply the advanced techniques and procedures of information technology, it polishes one's skills and prepares for the industrial working requirements.
The subjects undertaken mainly are Computer Organization, Data Structure and Programming in C and C++, DBMS, Business Communication, OOPs, Java, Computer Networking, Computer Graphics, and Multimedia, etc.
