The Bachelor of Technology course in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering provides students with a detailed understanding of metals and metallurgical procedures. Students gain theoretical as well as practical knowledge of these processes.
B.Tech Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is a four-year academic course and comprises eight semesters. Every year, students learn about metals, ores, and relevant extraction processes. As there is a growing demand for production activities, this course will bring good prospects for the students in future. On completion of this course, students can work in the industrial field, particularly production places of metals and metallic substances. This course is beneficial for the students who desire to conduct research and inventions in the sector of metallurgy.
After completion of this course, students can earn around Rs. 1.8 lakhs per annum to Rs. 3 lakhs per annum. They can also seek strong job positions such as process design engineer and application engineer after obtaining years of experience.
This course aims at delivering an understanding of how metals are extracted and refined for product manufacturing purposes. Students can work in various sectors such as metal production, research, discovery, and engineering.
In order to be eligible for this course, students must have cleared their 10+2 examination in the Science stream with subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Alternatively, students from recognized boards or institutions are also eligible to apply for this course.
