M. D. Radio Diagnosis or Doctor of Medicine in Radio Diagnosis is a three-year post-graduate course in Radiography that concentrates on the usage of radiation, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance in medical practices. The procedures coherent to it are Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, and interventional procedures. The course educates students about ways in which they can deal with allergic contrast reactions and also beware of resuscitation methods using the above methods. Further, it helps them in acquiring basic detailed knowledge on sub-specialties of radiology like Neuro-radiology, Uro-radiology, GI-radiology, Vascular-radiology, Musculoskeletal and Interventional Radiology, Pediatric Radiology, Emergency Radiology, and Mammography.
A candidate wanting to opt for this course should have completed his M.B.B.S from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and should have completed one year of internship after that. His age should not exceed 45 years. This course is helpful to those who intend to develop skills in diagnosing and practicing various disciplines of radiology and imaging and who want to get involved in organizing and conducting research work in radiology and other allied disciplines. This course even educates candidates about sub-specialties including cross-sectional Anatomy- Normal and vibrant such as the chest, C.V.S, C.N.S, G.U.T, Endocrinal, Hepato-biliary, metabolic and Musculoskeletal system and so on.
