CBSE SCHOOLS IN DEHRADUN
The capital and largest city of the Uttarakhand state in India is Dehradun. The Dehradun Municipal Corporation oversees it, and the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly has its winter sessions in the city, which serves as the district administrative centre. Located in the Garhwal region, where the Divisional Commissioner office is located. Dehradun is being built as one of the (Counter Magnets) of the National Capital Region (NCR), which is being used to create a smart city in the Himalayas and provide an alternative centre of growth to help with the migration and population explosion in the Delhi metropolitan area. OAK GROVE SCHOOL, DEHRADUN
The first railway hill school, however, was established in 1870 by the erstwhile Sindh Punjab and Delhi (SPD) railway, which later became known as the north-western railway, in a bungalow called Fairlawn that was a part of the rajah of Nepal domain and near to where oak grove is currently situated. In 1894, the Fairlawn School and the Oak Grove School combined as a result of an increase in student enrollment and the passing of key administrative personnel. The tiny beginning beside the rails has grown in both strength and size over the years, with Oak Grove School starting with only 28 kids on its roll and now enrolling more than 600 students.

WELHAM BOYS SCHOOL, DEHRADUN
By making a little personal investment, Ms. Oliphant founded the Welham Preparatory School in 1937, which would eventually become one of the best high schools in the nation. Early financial worries were addressed by a grant from Ms. Oliphants mother, who sent the funds from the English village of Welham, where Ms. Oliphant spent her formative years. In 1920, Ms. Oliphant moved from Delhi to Dehradun. She made the decision to open a preparatory school in this posh and lovely town located in the foothills of the Himalayas. A year after the first lad enrolled (15 January 1937), there were 20 day scholars and 30 residential students.
