<p>The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 is scheduled to be held in two sessions. Currently, JEE Main session 1 registration is open. It will end on November 30, 2023, while the registration process for JEE Main session 2 is scheduled to begin in February 2024.</p> <p>For applying to BE, BTech, BArch, or BPlanning courses candidates are required to submit a fee of Rs. 1,000 for male candidates (general), Rs. 800 for female candidates (general), and Rs. 500 for all the other categories.</p> <p>Taking admission into an engineering course is seen as a coveted avenue for students to build a secure professional career. As you gear up for JEE Main 2024, here is all you need to know about the most important topics for this competitive entrance exam.</p> <p><strong>JEE Main exam pattern</strong></p> <p>The exam is conducted in two phases: JEE Main Paper 1 and JEE Main Paper 2.</p> <p>JEE Main - Paper 1 is meant for candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. programmes, and it is divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.</p> <p>Each section contains 25 questions, for a total of 75 questions. Paper 1 has a total of 300 marks. Each part contains 25 questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, including 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 5 numerical value type questions.</p> <p>JEE Main - Paper 2 is meant for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch., B.Planning, and B.F.Tech. programmes, and it is divided into three sections: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test. The total mark allotment for Paper 2 differs depending on the chosen course, with 100 marks allotted for B.Arch. students and 50 marks designated for B.F.Tech. applicants.</p> <p>The marking scheme for the Mathematics and Aptitude Tests changes, with +4 marks awarded for each correct MCQ response, -1 mark awarded for each wrong answer, and 0 marks awarded for unattempted MCQ questions.
