In order to meet the growing needs of providing quality education at reasonable cost to children of Defence Services employees, a miniature but progressive school by the name of NDA English School was established at National Defence Academy on 2nd Feb 1955. It was a regimental school providing educational facilities to employees of NDA and its allied units. It was registered under SOCIETY REGISTRATION ACT in 1976 & by Zila Parishad in 1980 .The school was till Class V and started following CBSE syllabus wef 2000.
It’s a matter of great privilege and immense pleasure to be the first Principal of the Army Public School Khadakwasla. However, being the principal right from the inception of a school entails a lot of responsibilities and challenges ahead.
Armed with the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, our endeavour would be-inculcating among the students the ability to think critically and communicate effectively. We want to explore the inherent skills of our students and let them flourish freely in their area of interest rather than attempt to fit them in the straight jacket. Hence, we shall always lay equal emphasis on co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities.
I extend my gratitude to School Management for having entrusted me with the responsibility to carve out a roadmap of success for the APS Khadakwasla. I, along with my peers, shall leave no stone unturned to make APS Khadakwasla live up to the high standard set by the other APSs all over the country.
We have started by doing what is necessary,
will do what’s possible and then we will make the impossible possible.
