Receiving a medical degree is the dream of many hardworking and talented youngsters, but it isn't easy! To get enrolled in any prestigious medical college, they have to face and clear a competitive pre-medical test, which is still a legit obstruction in the path as it filters out the unworthy candidates.
But, an irrational hurdle is the fee of medical colleges. Most medical colleges charge a lot. What’s the solution? There are many, but one of the best solutions is AIMSET.
A scholarship could be an entry pass for many talented medical aspirants. And, one of the best scholarship options for medical students is AIMSET, which stands for All India Medical Scholarship Examination Test. The interested candidates can give this test in May 2021.
It is a national-level test that opens up the opportunity of receiving a decent scholarship from leading medical universities.
Sounds interesting, isn’t it?
The main objective of AIMSET is to provide students with a common electronic platform where they can earn a merit-based scholarship.
The primary idea behind offering this scholarship is to promote and encourage students with an economically weak background to receive higher education.
One basic benefit of this test is that you would receive a scholarship, obviously; however, are there any other benefits of this test too?
AIMSET would let you have a comprehensive career profiling too. A good and detailed career profiling would also let you have an in-depth insight into your hidden strengths and talents.
Apart from this, you can also explore different kinds of courses at universities which might best suit your career.
The students in 12th standard and NEET aspirants are eligible to appear in this test.
If you scored well in this examination, you could take the admissions in UGC- approved colleges. Moreover, you can also select the best-preferred courses for completing medical studies, such as MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, and BDS.
So, is qualifying in the NEET examination still compulsory for MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, and BDS to get into a good college after scoring well in AIMSET.
There are other courses too for which you can get a scholarship without NEET, such as B.Sc. Agriculture BPT, B. Pharma, Nursing Bio-Tech, and other paramedical courses.
All the 12th standard students are eligible to appear in this examination.
Registering for the scholarship is as easy as ordering a pizza! Here are the steps:-
Step1. The aspiring students need to register themselves at www.aimset.in with their recent Email id. They might also need to register their mobile number.
Step2. The next step is the fee submission. You would have numerous options for making the payment; for instance, Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking.
The fee is quite decent!
For girls and the students who fall under the category of SC, ST, and PH, one needs to pay 1000/- only; moreover, all the other candidates need to pay 1200/-
Step3. The next window would open up as soon as you would make the payment. In this step, you would have to upload your documents, such as Aadhar card, 10th & 12th Marksheet, etc.
Avoiding all the hassle of moving to another place, you can appear in this examination online. Therefore, you can give this examination at the comfort of your couch or from any place in the world.
