National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally regulates academics in the field of hospitality and hotel administration through its affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management spread all over the country. The Council offers Masters and Bachelors Degree Programs in Hospitality as well as PG Diploma, Diploma Craft Courses.
Under NCHMCT’s umbrella, total 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, 1 Public Sector Undertaking Institute of Hotel Management and 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management are affiliated with NCHMCT. 9 Food Craft Institutes are also affiliated to NCHMCT which offer Diploma programs in specific operational areas. All Institutes under NCHMCT follow standardised course curricula prescribed by the Council for different professional programs and follow international standards and practices.
Quality of education and training provided by the Institutes help students to emerge as professionally qualified personnel for hospitality and other allied service sectors. Its alumni from affiliated Institutes occupy key positions in hospitality industry as well as in teaching institutions both in India and abroad.

Course content for each of the above Degree & Diploma level programs are designed with an in-built component of industry training or internship, which complements the theory and laboratory work. Marks are awarded for such industry release, which impact the performance of the students. Therefore, the industry training is a very important component in the course.
Admission to candidates is subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria and on first come first served basis.
For 3-Year B.Sc. HHA Program
Admitted candidates will have to pay the course fee at par with Indian students in Indian Rupees. Currently, total fee for 3-Year Course will be Rs.2,92,100 (excluding hostel/mess charges) which will be paid in 6 (six) installments. (The fee may be revised from July 2017)
For 1 ½ Year Diploma Courses
Fee for these Courses is different from Institute to Institute as the fee is fixed by the Institutes according to local constraints. However, the fee for any course at any of the Institute is not more than Rs.50,000/-
For 3-Year B.Sc. HHA Program
Admitted candidates will have to pay the course fee at par with Indian students in Indian Rupees. Currently, total fee for 3-Year Course will be Rs.2,92,100 (excluding hostel/mess charges) which will be paid in 6 (six) installments. (The fee may be revised from July 2017)
In addition to above, medical, identity card fee, student activity fee, locker fee and hostel charges, if availed, are to be paid extra at the Institute where admission granted.

Hostel accommodation is available in most of the Institutes and the management helps the students admitted to get paying guest/ sharing accommodation, if required. Hostel fee is not included in the Course fee, which will have to be paid separately at the Institute in Indian Rupees at par with Indian students, if availed by the students after admission.
Candidates from SAARC Countries
Eligible candidates from SAARC Countries are required to send their application form to their respective Embassies in New Delhi, which will be further forwarded to Director (A&F), National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, A-34, Sector 62, NOIDA-201 309 (UP), India, after necessary verifications/endorsements. In the application form, candidates will have to indicate the Course name and Institute in which they are interested to get admission.
Candidates from Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
Eligible candidates from Least Developed Countries are required to submit their application to the designated Officer of Ministry of External Affairs in Indian Mission located in their respective countries which will be forwarded to us along with security clearances. Application forms may also be sent through office of Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi along with their security clearances. In the application form, candidates will have to indicate at least 5 choices of IHMs in priority order in which they would like to get admission. Depending upon the vacancy, IHM will be allotted to the candidate. Admission will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
After admission to any of the prescribed course in IHMs/FCIs under NCHMCT, all the admitted students will have to abide by all such regulations and disciplinary rules prescribed by NCHMCT of concerned Institute.
