• Ahmedabad University

Ahmedabad University is a private, non-profit university founded by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES). The university is among the most esteemed institutions of its kind offering several programs such as engineering, life sciences, management, arts, and computer science. The university has four schools in total, which offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level programs in many specializations.

The university is recognized by UGC and the state government. It has also been approved by AICTE. Anant National University is a private institute located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat that offers various courses of design and architecture with unique specialization at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This college is known for being the first university for design in the country.

It offers B.Arch and B.Des, programs at UG level, and M.Des. program at PG level. Apart from this, some fellowship programs are also offered to the students. • Atmiya University

Atmiya University Rajkot was established on April 13, 2018, under the Gujarat Private University Act 11, 2018. The university aims to train young minds with high-quality education and impart significant human values.

The campus is spread over an evasive 23.5 acres in divine surroundings. His Divine Holiness Hariprasad Swamiji Maharaj, the present spiritual successor of Lord Swaminarayan is the mentor of ATMIYA University. Atmiya University is one of the six institutions in India to sign an MoU with the University of Miyazaki. • AURO University of Hospitality and Management

Auro University, Surat is a Private University located in Surat City of southern Gujarat. It was founded through the Gujarat Act No. 25th of October 2011. It has been developed and promoted by the JHM group of hotels which has earned a reputation of excellence for itself over the last three decades in building the infrastructure of a high standard in various parts of Surat. The courses are offered by many constituent schools such as the School of Business, School of Information Technology, etc.

• Bhaikaka University

• C. U. Shah University

C.U Shah University is a state private university established in the year 2013. The university is affiliated by UGC, NCTE, PCI, BCI, and AICTE. It’s a lush green campus of about 75-acre land. The university is located in Wadhwan, Gujarat. C.U. Shah University is sponsored by Wardhman Bharti Trust. • Calorx Teacher's University

Established in 2009, Sabarmati University (SU) was formerly known as Calorx Teacher’s University. SU is Gujarat’s first dual-mode State Private University. The University was formed by State Legislature of Gujarat Act No. 8 of the year 2009 and further amended with Act No. 20 in 2019. SU is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of Gujarat Gazette, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and Bar Council of India (BCI). The University offers 17 unique courses at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels. Candidates are selected based on the entrance examination and past academic performance. • Charotar University of Science & Technology

• Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) was established in 2001. It is located in Gandhinagar, a city with seven Special Economic Zones and 10 industrial estates. DA-IICT received a ‘deemed university’ status in 2003. In 2019, NIRF ranked DA-IICT 91st among engineering colleges in India. It also has an ‘A’ accreditation from NAAC.

The institute offers specializations across B. Tech, B.Tech (Honours), M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Des, and Ph.D. courses. For B. Tech and B. Tech (Honours), a candidate has to complete 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and either Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science. For selection, a candidate should take the JEE-Main.

• G.L.S. University

GLS University has been established with the objective of providing an ideal and creative learning environment and continuing the tradition of excellence in the education of the sponsoring body of the University, viz., Gujarat Law Society (GLS)

Gujarat Law Society, established in the year 1927, is one of the largest and oldest educational institutions in the State of Gujarat. GLS was promoted by luminaries SardarVallabhbhai Patel, Shri Ganesh Mavlankar, the first Speaker of the country, and Shri I.M. Nanavati with the vision of Excellence in Education.

• Ganpat University

Ganpat University (GUNI) is a presumed state private university built up in 2005 by the Government of Gujarat. The university is recognized by UGC and offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and research level courses (Professional and Non-proficient) in the field of Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Pharmacy, Sciences, Commerce and Social Science, Architecture, Design and Planning, Maritime Studies, Law and so forth.

GUNI B.Tech Admissions will be conceded based on the score in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) and the accompanying ACPC Counselling. Admissions to the M.Tech program will be allowed based on the GATE score. Determination in the B.Arch program will be founded on the NATA score. The highest placement package for the college remains at INR 12 lakhs pa with a mean package of INR 3.09 LPA.

• Gokul Global University

Gokul Global University(GGU) was established in the year 2018, under the affiliation of Gokul Foundation Trust. The university is affiliated to AICTE and GTU, along with recognition by the UGC. The institution was set up with a mission to provide quality education to the students in the field of Engineering, Medical, Physiotherapy, etc.

GGU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level programs, to more than 2400 students every year. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of merit received in the 10+2, Bachelors’, and Master’s programs respectively. The University has signed MOU’s with Gokul, Gokul Overseas, khodiyar, Mehta, TCS, and Greenfield to provide training programs along with placement opportunities to the students.

 

• GSFC University

GSFC University was established in 2015 in Gujarat by the GSFC Education Society. The institute offers programs in the field of Engineering, Science, and Management. Courses include B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA, M.Sc, and Ph.D. Admissions to B.Tech are based on the JEE examination, while admissions to the Ph.D. courses are based on an entrance test conducted by the University. Admissions to the remaining courses are merit-based. Top recruiters include MRF, Sterling Biotech, BYJU’s, etc.

• Gujarat Maritime University

The Gujarat Maritime University was established under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009. This deemed university is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The main objective of this university to become a global center of excellence in the field of maritime education. Gujarat Maritime. Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) offers an LLM program in two disciplines in the full-time mode for the duration of one year and an MBA program in Maritime Management (with specialization in Shipping & Logistics Management) for the duration of two years. The university also offers M.Sc, PG Diploma, PGPX, and Ph.D. programs.

• Indian Institute of Public Health

Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is India’s first Public Health University. The Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is working towards building a healthier India. IIPHG is an example of the visionary leadership of Honourable Shri Narendra Modi (then Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat), who laid the foundation stone and provided support for establishing the institute in 2008. The government of Gujarat and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) entered an MoU in 2007 to establish IIPHG. Under the MoU, the Government of Gujarat allocated land and agreed to share a part of the project cost.

IIPHG aims to strengthen the overall health system in the country through education, training, research, and advocacy/policy initiatives. The institute started its operation in July 2008 from its interim location in Ahmedabad with the commencement of its 1st batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM). In-service medical officers from the states of Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh were sponsored by the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) to attend this course. • Indrashil University

Indrashil University (IU) is an educational initiative of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is established in the year 2018 by an Act of State Legislature of Gujarat as a State Private University under Gujarat Private University Act, 2009. Indrashil University is one of its kind University in the state of Gujarat which offers courses in Life Sciences with a focus on academic and professional development.

Apart from offering life science programs, the university also offers a wide array of programs such as Management, Law, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

• Indus University

Indus University was formerly known as Indus Institute of Technology and Engineering. In 2012 Indus got university status[1] and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Indus University is an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved university. Indus is located in Rancharda, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Indus had a signup memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dassault Systemes for a Collaborative Learning and Innovation Centre (CLIC) at the Indus campus. CLIC will allow students of Indus University to use Dassault Systemes V6 Technologies, along with LEGO Mindstorms and an Arduino micro-controller, to build cyber-physical projects that will answer problems through interdisciplinary engineering and management approaches.

• Institute of Advanced Research

• Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya

The Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya (KSV) University was established in 2007. The University has 19 Constituent Colleges and Departments at Gandhinagar and Kadi. University provides undergraduates, post-graduates courses, and Ph.D. courses in the field of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Education, Business, Nursing, and many more subjects.

• Karnavati University

Karnavati University is located in Uvarsad near Gandhinagar, established in 2017. The college offers profuse UG, PG, and doctorate level courses with multiple specializations. Admission to all the courses is done on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance exam followed by GD and PI. Some of the entrance exams accepted by the university are DAT, MAT, CAT, KUAT. Candidates who wish to take admission in the college have to register themselves online on the college's official website and apply for the respective courses there. It has received membership of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, and Some of the courses offered by the university are AICTE approved.

• Lakulish Yoga University

Lakulish Yoga University is a private university located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC). As per the 2020 Gujarat University Ranking, LYU is ranked 62 among the other Universities in Gujarat. The university offers various programs in Yoga at the undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral level. The Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) is a private university established by the Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal through The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2016. • The Charutar Vidya Mandal(CVM) University

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who knew Shri Bhailalbhai Dyabhai Patel (warmly known as Bhaikaka) as a man of the practical bent of mind, unusual ability, and character, advised him to go to the villages and work for their regeneration. Sardar's wish was tantamount to a command to him. He got in touch with Shri Bhikhabhai Kuberbhai Patel, a dedicated and farsighted educationist, fired by the same ideal.

On March 28, 1945, it was decided to draw and implement the plan of raising an educational township in a wilderness infested with dacoits, which later came to be known as Vallabh Vidyanagar.

The founders decided to establish two institutions - Charutar Vidya Mandal and Charotar Gramoddhar Sahakari Mandal. The former was to be devoted to the cause of education, that is, establishing colleges and schools and the latter meant to produce the building materials for educational institutions and residential quarters. They were registered on August 10, 1945, and September 7, 1945, respectively. Bhaikaka and Bhikhabhai came to reside in the wilderness in a hut measuring 8 ft x 10 ft on March 3, 1946.
