• A P Goyal Shimla University

Bahra University (BU), Shimla is a multi-disciplinary university, was established in 2011 by the State Legislature of Himachal Pradesh Act No. 2 of 2011. The university is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 and the Bar Council of India (BCI). Bahra University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Hospitality & Tourism, Law, Pharmacy, Basic-Sciences, and Physiotherapy.

• Career Point University

Established by the ­­­Government of Himachal Pradesh in 2012, the Career Point University, Hamirpur provides courses in the field of Engineering and Technology, Computer Application and IT, Basic and Applied Sciences, Business & Management, Vocational, and Legal Studies. CPU is UGC approved and has 16 departments and 10 research areas.

Admissions to courses are both merit and entrance based. Selections are also based on the National/State level Entrance Test under the criteria fixed by HP Govt.

The college has been awarded various awards including the Bharat Gaurav Award 2017 and Himachal Rattan Award. The University has about 1500 students and over 100 teachings or supporting staff at the college campus.

• Chitkara University

Chitkara University(CU) is one of the famous non-profitable University in North India. The University was established in 2008 under the UGC act of 1956. CU runs under Chitkara Educational Trust. The University campus is spread over 17 acres located at Atal Shiksha Kunj in Barotiwala, Himachal Pradesh. University has tie-ups with a number of international universities, offering exchange programs to the students across different departments.

• Eternal University

Eternal University, Baru Sahib was established under the Himachal Pradesh Private Universities Act with effect from April 29, 2008. It is a Self-Financed Private University recognized by the UGC under the UGC act of 1956. It is located at a sprawling 8, 00,000 sq. ft campus at Baru Sahib. It is NAAC accredited & ISO 9001: 2015 Certified University established under the Himachal Pradesh Private University (Establishment & Regulation) Act 2006 & Himachal Pradesh Government Act.no. 3 of 2009

It offers undergraduate, postgraduate & Doctorate courses for girls only in agriculture, basic science, health and allied sciences, engineering and technology, education, economics, commerce and management, arts and social sciences.

Admission to other UG/PG/Ph.D. courses will be done on the basis of merit and entrance exams.

• I.E.C. (India Education Centre) University

IEC University is a private university located at the HIMUDA education hub, near the village Kallujhanda, Solan district, Himachal Pradesh. • ICFAI University

Indus International University (IIU) was established under regulation Act, 2009, of Himachal Pradesh Government with the right to confer degree as per Sections 2f and 22 of the UGC Act 1956. The university campus is situated in Bathau, in the Una district. The campus is spread over 160000 sq. feet over 7 blocks.

It has been set up as a not-for-profit institution with the primary objective of providing educational opportunities in rural India.
