• Adesh University

Adesh University was established in the year 2012 by Adesh Foundation, is a private university situated in Bathinda, Punjab. It was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Medical Council of India (MCI). The university offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Research courses in various disciplines. The UG courses MBBS, BPT, BDS, B. Pharm, B.Lib, and B.Sc. The PG courses include M.Sc., MD, MS, M.Lib, M.Pharm, and MBA. It also offers specializations each in PG Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.

The admission process is both Merit-based for Undergraduate courses and Entrance test for other postgraduate and Post Graduate Diploma courses. The university placement cell provides internships and placements to its students in top companies. Even the students are also facilitated with scholarships based on various categories.

• Akal University

Akal University was established in 2005 to uphold the three basic principles of higher education namely; Teaching, Learning, and Research. Akal Bhatinda offers UG and PG programs in mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, psychology, economics and commerce, English, and Punjabi languages. Furthermore, the University also offers Ph.D. programs in Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Economics.

• Chandigarh University

Chandigarh University (CU) is a Private University accredited with an A+ Grade by NAAC. The university has a total student strength of 13,221 with more than 5,500 female students across all departments. There are 16 departments in total offering many specializations in undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses. Admission to these courses is granted on the basis of score in CUCET examinations conducted at the university’s level. • Guru Kashi University

Guru Kashi University was established in 2011 and is a co-ed institute. It has been established by the State Legislature Act of Punjab. It is a residential University and has more than 7000 students. It is a member of the Indian Society for Technical Education.

• Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (SGGSWU) is located in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. It offers a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, B.C.A, M.C.A, P.G.D.C.A, B.Sc., M.Sc. B.Com., M.Com., BBA, MBA BA, MA, Ph.D., and many more.

Admission to these courses is strictly merit-based. For B.Tech, 25% seats shall be filled through JEE score. For MBA, CMAT score shall be the criteria for 25% seats and for M.Tech, 25% seats shall be filled on the basis of percentile in GATE.

It has two institutes named Sri Guru Ram Das University of Medical Sciences and Research and Sri Guru Ram Das College of Nursing which provides a wide range of courses such as UG, PG, Ph.D., Nursing, and Diploma for Medical Courses. The university has a total of 150 seats for MBBS and 79 seats for MD/MS courses.
