The Air Force School (TAFS) was established in temporary wartime hutments at Wellington Camp, Club Road, New Delhi on 18th July 1955. The School is a co-educational public school that provides equal opportunities to both boys and girls. It is situated on the Aravali Ridge amidst picturesque surroundings lined by rows of majestic Eucalyptus and Ashoka trees in the 15 acre area of the school. The medium of school is English, however equal importance is given to national language Hindi. Sanskrit is compulsory as third language from the class VI - VIII. There is an option between Hindi and Sanskrit for the students of the classes IX and X.
