M.Tech (Geotechnical Engineering) is a discipline of civil engineering but is also used by mining, petroleum, military or any other engineering related to construction in, with or on the ground.

It is basically the study of principles and mechanics of soil and rock. Students are educated in a way that they can evaluate risks posed by site conditions, investigate sub-surfaces problems and assess the stability of natural slopes and man-made soil deposits.

  1. Students applying for this course must have a Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent (with Physics or Mathematics as major subjects) from a recognized university in which they must have scored a minimum of 50% marks (may vary).
