Anchoring & Jockeying

Anyone who loves talking has a good voice and an excellent presence of mind can take up a career in Radio/ Video Jockeying or Television or Stage Anchoring. During this course students are made familiar with the Television and Radio industry, how a voice over should be done, techniques of radio presenting, art of public speaking, writing scripts for Radio and T.V, news writing, styles for anchoring news, talk shows and interviews etc.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must be a 10+2 pass out, but in addition must have excellent communication skills and good command over English and a regional language.

Career Prospects

With the sudden influx of Radio and Television channels, demand for jockeys and anchor persons have shot up. A lot of corporate organizations also hold several events and road shows to promote their products on a regular basis for which they too require anchors and hence there are ample job opportunities for people trained in this field. However it is a candidate's pure talent only that can help him rise against completion, in this field. Apart from their regular jobs as anchors or jockeys, candidates can also do voice over's for advertisement films, documentaries, radio jingle etc.
