Introducing Technology in Education

At Canadian International school, students are equipped with the latest in technology that enables efficient and long term learning. One-on-one iPad learning 

CIS was one of the first schools in Bangalore to introduce iPads as a tool to enhance learning. Students and teachers use the iPad to research, create content and also present their research. In the Elementary and Early Years programs, the students have access to two iPad carts as well as to a newly opened Tech Suite for Elementary school.

iTunesU platform

iTunesUis used to deliver all lessons to students in Grade 6 and above. In addition to this Edmodo is also used to keep parents involved in what is being taught to students at the school. CIS also makes use of Showable that helps assess the performance of each student. That way, students can learn more while parents are aware of the progress that their child is making at school.

Secondary Technology 

Parallel to iPad education, secondary technology classes make use of Windows and iOS programs. They come with several pre-programmed learning activities that are enjoyable to all the students. From grades 9-12, students learn about the desktop, ICT, ITGS and computer science in the secondary technology classes.

Canadian International School is known for focusing on Digital Citizenship as a part of the Technology program. The Common Sense Medial Digital Citizenship Curriculum focuses on helping children learn more about technology and how they can apply it in their lives efficiently. 

The technology program offers several resources that help students learn faster, aided by a Wi-Fi enabled campus. This allows students to make complete use of the features and benefits offered by the technology program at CIS.

One of the biggest advantages is the elimination of the use of paper, empowering students into a paper-less environment. With the introduction of technology in education, CIS has ensured that there is no restriction on the access to information.
