BJMC Overview
Mass communication serves as a medium to disseminate information to the masses. It is not only reined by journalism but has other arms as well such as newsgathering, reporting, film direction, production, event management, public relations, advertising, and corporate communication.
BJMC Eligibility Criteria
- The eligibility criteria for BJMC is completing class 12th from any stream with a minimum of 50% to 60% and should be 17 years of age.
- Admission can be based on meritocracy or entrance exams, as per university norms. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories get 5% relaxation. Some colleges select students on the basis of personal interviews, group discussions, or work experience.
BJMC Required Documents
Documents needed at the time of the registration are class 10th and 12th mark sheets, a score of entrance exam, passport size photographs, character certificate, reservation certificate, migration certificate, self-attested documents, domicile certificate, and demand draft.

- Common entrance exams are IPU CET, SSPU Entrance Exam, MH CET, IIMC Entrance Exam, Jamia Milia Common Entrance Exam, Symbiosis Institute Entrance Exam, Xavier Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Exam, and Andhra University Entrance Exam.
- IPU CET is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for UG and PG courses. SSUPU exam is managed by Savitri Bai Phule Pune University for UG and PG courses. Exam pattern contains objective questions in the form of multiple-choice questions based on English, logical reasoning, current affairs, general awareness and media awareness.
