About Bennett University, Greater Noida

Bennett University has been set up at Greater Noida and commenced operations on 08 Aug 2016. Extending the core journalistic principles of Trust, Knowledge and Public Service, Bennett, Coleman and CO. Ltd. (BCCL) established over 177 years ago, has continually undertaken initiatives for the betterment of Indian Society. It is a convenient distance from the southern part of Delhi and is located in a peaceful locale. Once, fully functional, the 68-acre campus of the university is expected to accommodate over 13000 students. Bennett University is Times Group University.

Extending the core journalistic principles of Trust, Knowledge and Public Service, Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (BCCL) established over 178 years ago, has continually undertaken initiatives for the betterment of Indian society. The group started expanding into the education sector with the launch of TimesPro - which focuses on short-term courses that enhance employability. It then launched Bennett University, a state private university in Uttar Pradesh with the aim of providing Ivy League quality of education to undergraduate and postgraduate students making them, ‘life and career ready’. Bennett University located at Greater Noida, commenced its operations on 08 Aug 2016. The University fosters a proactive environment of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, while enhancing skills in all areas of higher education through the internationally acclaimed Centers of Excellence such as Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) and Centre of Executive Education (CEE).

BENNETT UNIVERSITY - SCHOLARSHIPS

The Bennett University Academic Scholarships are designed to encourage and reward consistently meritorious performance through the duration of the program. The Academic Scholarships will be awarded based on CGPA at the end of each year.

Academic Scholarship shall be awarded only to the students who are admitted without any Admission Scholarship, in the 2nd year of the Program for one year and reviewed thereafter, subject to following conditions

The review cycles will be at the end of 2nd Semester for award of Scholarship for 2nd year; at the end of 4th Semester for award of Scholarship for 3rd year; at the end of 6th Semester for award of Scholarship for 4th year.
A student with CGPA of 8 and above on a scale of 10 but admitted without any Admission Scholarship will be awarded Academic Scholarship of 10% of Tuition Fees as per the review cycles stated in #1, provided the student is in top 10% of total students in the program.
For continuation of the Academic Scholarships, the student should have no adverse disciplinary issues during the year i.e. validity period of Academic Scholarship.

Sports and extracurricular activities instil values of teamwork, impart problem-solving skills and develop character. Keeping this in mind and committed towards the overall well-being and growth of students, Bennett University offers plenty of opportunities to its students to participate in activities outside the classroom.

BENNETT UNIVERSITY - INFRASTRUCTURES

Bennett University - Classroom:

The class rooms, comprising lecture theaters, discussion/tutorial rooms /executive lounges are equipped with broadband communications network, ensuring global connectivity. Students will be able to interact by computer or video-link with faculty, industrial leaders and other students anywhere in the world. Cutting edge audiovisual and video-conferencing facilities to include overhead projectors, LCDs, fixed cameras and touch-pad systems enable a modern teaching and learning approach.

Bennett University - Hostels:

Student hostels, at full strength, will be able to accommodate around 6000 students. Hostel rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, fully furnished and equipped with cable connection, voice and data ports for telephone, campus LAN, and internet. Reading rooms and additional sports facilities like table-tennis rooms, chess and carrom rooms is also available in each hostel. The hostels are provided with uninterrupted power through back-up generators in order to provide 24 hours’ electricity supply, water heaters, water freezer etc. Separate Hostels are established for boys and girls. Hostel rooms are available on double occupancy. The administration of hostel is under a faculty member dual tasked as a Hostel Warden. The overall charge of student’s discipline and hostel administration vests in the Chief Warden.

Bennett University - Hostel Fee:

Student Residence will be optional for all UG programs and will be available on Campus on twin/ triple sharing basis. Stidents will be expected to attend classes/ events/ activities scheduled as per the academic calendar.

Bennett University - Laundry:

At Bennett University, we take all steps to make students comfortable and feel at home. The fully functional laundry service is available for all the students, faculty and other staff members residing at the campus. The university’s laundry plant is equipped with state-of-the-art imported machinery and has automatic assembly lines for all kinds of clothes and fabrics. The plant uses 100% RO water and eco-friendly chemicals for washing and other treatments. With nominal charges, laundry offers both wet and dry-cleaning services.

Bennett University - Apple iMac Lab:

It is a futuristic 32 node high-end lab with state-of-the-art Apple machines. The lab is for running programs which require high end graphics capabilities including 3D graphics and video editing capabilities. It is specifically used for activities and projects related to gaming, design, multimedia, modern art and media production. The high configuration of the machines helps in running resource-hungry applications related to research requiring large scale simulations and experimentation.

Bennett-NVIDIA Center of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence:

The lab consists of 30 node Top-end HP Z440 workstations, providing a world-class workstation experience. Our researchers and scholars are using this lab for AI applications in healthcare, security, cognition, text, image and video analysis.

NVIDIA Super Computer Lab for Deep learning:

The NVIDIA DGX-1 V100 is the first system built with ground-breaking NVIDIA Pascal™-powered Tesla® V100 accelerators. This is the world’s first purpose-built system for deep learning and accelerated analytics, delivering performance equal to 500 conventional servers.

It comes fully integrated with hardware, deep learning software, development tools, and runs popular accelerated analytics applications.

Due to a partnership with NVIDIA, Bennett University has access to Certified Expert Instructors, Worldwide Workshops, Online Courses, Onsite Training, Global Reach, NVIDIA Partner Network, Deep Learning Teaching Kit, OEMs, and start-ups.

Dell EMC- Bennett Data Analytics Lab:

This lab consists of 32 Dell machines with the latest configuration. It is further enriched with the support of Dell-EMC with their commitment to a data analytics lab. Dell is providing support in terms of faculty training, collaborative projects, and exclusive workshops.

Specific areas of operation include Information Storage and Management (“ISM”), Cloud Infrastructure Services (“CIS”), Data Science and Big Data Analytics (“DSBDA”) and Data Protection and Management (“DPM”). It will help the students to compete for the skills required by the fortune 500 companies.

Programming Lab:

Programming Lab caters to the task of imparting skills of Programming/Coding to students. It has state-of-the-art systems that are equipped with the requirements for programming instructions to be given to students.

Information Management System Lab:

This Lab is a part of the curriculum requirements in the domain of Information Management, Data Base Management System and Other Business processing applications. It is equipped with relevant software and IT infrastructure to fulfil these requirements.
