Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sawan Public School, a boy's school, believes that the educational process must be rooted in the country's tradition and culture. The school aims at inspiring students to be upright, analytical, sensitive and develop a nationalistic outlook. The mission is to encourage students to contribute towards national development by nurturing them to become responsible, intelligent and committed citizens.
A fully residential Public School for boys, Sawan Public School was set up in 1974 by the S.J. Jindal Trust. Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education the school offers the All India Secondary and Senior Secondary School Examinations of standards 10 and 12 respectively.
The aims and objectives of the school as laid down by the S.J. Jindal Trust are similar to those of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Institutions in India and abroad, as both draw their inspiration from the traditional Indian Gurukula system. To augment this congruity, Sawan Public School was in April 1993 gifted in totality to the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The school has henceforth been known as “Bhavan's Sawan Public School.”
