Sri Sathya Sai Vidhya Vihar (Telugu: à°¶à±à°°à± సతà±à°¯ సాయి విదà±à°¯ విహార) is a school in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. The school began functioning in 1984. It was opened by the district collector Sri Ajey Kallam. The school began its mission mainly based on the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.The school is located in Sector 8, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam.“Education is for life and not for living” is the motto of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar which has completed 28 years of excellence. Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar started functioning from 24th June 1985 with the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He is its life and soul. His teachings are its inspiration and goals. The school has an area of 1.99 acres (8,100 m2) with a circular structure as its main building and adjoining it is an 'L' shaped block which houses the multipurpose yoga hall, science labs, the Vice Principal's room, kindergarten and other classes. It also has a library that has more than 3000 books, a reading room, an art room and an indoor sports room. The round building houses the computer lab, Principal's room, visitors room, audio visual room and the office room. Also enclosed in the campus is a prayer hall (mandir) for conducting religious and service activities.
