Air Force School Hindan has a long tradition of serving in the field of education. It was started in 1979 with an aim of imparting pre-primary education of children. Gradually the school was expanded to primary and middle section to meet the growing needs. At present the school is imparting education up to XII standard with a total strength of 1200 Students. The school is affiliated to CBSE. All the three streams Science, Commerce and Humanities are being offered to students at XI and XII level.

Air Force School Hindan (AFSH) is a much sought after school located in the heart of Ghaziabad on Loni Road. We pride ourselves on our successful academic and co-curricular record of more than thirty Nine years. We believe in the traditional values of courtesy and consideration. By setting clear expectations for our pupils and by working in close partnership with our parents, we aim to provide a purposeful environment where teachers can teach and where our pupils’ potential is best developed.

At AFSH we place teaching and learning at the heart of all that we do and our central purpose is to provide a first class education for all our children. To this end we believe that education should be a genuine partnership between home and school.

History

Air Force School Hindan (AFSH) was started by the Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society with the aim of meeting the educational aspirations of children of Air Force Personnel posted to the National Capital Region. AFSH made a humble beginning, as a Primary school, on July 1979. Gradually, the painstaking efforts of the staff and the Management of AFSH resulted in the School developing into one of the premier schools of Ghaizabad.

Today, AFSH functions under the aegis of Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society as a recognized, unaided private school. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and offers educational facilities under 10+2 scheme of education. It also complies with the rules and regulations as prescribed by IAF Educational & Cultural Society.

AFSH achieved major milestone in 2011 when it received ISO 9001-2008 certification, confirming its commitment to excellence.

Admission Procedure

Admission to Air Force Schools will be in the following priority:-

Priority I - Children of serving and deceased ( whilst on active service) IAF Officers, Airmen and Ncs (E).
Priority II
- Children of serving Air Force School staff (whose spouse is not a serving Air Force Officer, Airman or Ncs (E).
- Children of serving DSC personnel posted to Air Force units.
- Children of serving civilian staff of Air Force units paid out of Defence Services Estimates.
- Children of serving NPF employees.
- Children of serving civilian MES personnel.
Priority III - Children of Air Force Officers, Airmen and Ncs (E) who have supernnuated from service.
Priority IV - Children of Air Force Officers, Airmen and Ncs (E) who have left service on Premature Separation from Service (PSS) or on completion of period of Regular Engagement (RE), before the age of superannuation.
Priority V - Biological/legal grand-children of serving and retired (both superannuate as well as those who have gone out on PSS/completion of RE) Air Force Officers, Airmen and Ncs (E).
Priority VI - Children of serving Army/Navy/Para Military Forces personnel, GREF and TA.
Priority VII - All other children, including children of foreign nationals/NRIs. 119. (Note : Children of Foreign Nationals/NRIs may be admitted only after seeking the prior written concurrence of the Executive Vice-Chairman, after due scrutiny and recommendation of the Secretary CSMC.)
