St John The Evangelist High School (an English medium co-ed school) is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Education. Founded in January 1889, the school is administered by the Priests under Archdiocesan Board of Education (Mumbai). The school has 3200 children from pre-primary to secondary. The School primarily aims at educating children of the Catholic Community in the vicinity, and extends its services to other communities as well.
The school has always laid stress on the dictum that education must develop a complete life – moral, intellectual and cultural. The school encourages the students to participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports, games, competitions, dramatics, etc.
Order and discipline are strictly observed so that the students leaving the portals of St. John have the stamp of honesty, sincerity and responsible citizenship imprinted on them.
