The Plenum School is nestled between two hills with a beautiful stream flowing on one side. There is dense foliage around the stream with lush green trees like pine, wild Jamun, ficus, etc with shrubs and bushes. A majestic mountain with a beautiful pine forest rises behind the boy's hostel. It is the highest point in the area and offers a panoramic view of the valley. The most beautiful part is the bird population of the forest - an absolute delight for the bird lovers. The break of the dawn is greeted by the calls of the jungle fowl followed by the singing of Bulbuls, Magpies, Flycatchers, and Parakeet - the symphony seems to be orchestrated by God himself. The colourful plumage of the Blue Magpie is mesmerizing. There are plenty of other birds like Treepie, Koel, Himalayan Coucal, Tailorbird, Stonechats, Common Myna, Thrushes, Black Dragons, Wagtails, Rock Pigeons, Doves, etc. The guest house galleries are the best location to observe the birds and should apply to be named as "Himalayan Bird Lodge".
