The Shri Ram Schools were born out of the ideology that children must be given an environment that makes them want to come to school every day. The schools, which were founded in 1988 by Mrs. Manju Bharat Ram, follow her personal principle of promoting individuality through value-based education which promotes a global outlook yet retains intrinsic Indian cultural traditions. Her guidance has also led The Shri Ram Schools to lay a great emphasis on inclusiveness.

Our Belief

We believe that education is not only a tool to achieve professional milestones, but also a means to make lives better. This belief is practised by every member of The Shri Ram Schools. We consider every student to be unique and strive to offer a platform that lets them discover their own special light, at their own pace.

Our Campuses

Currently TSRS is spread over four campuses. The first one to begin operations was the Junior School in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi in 1988 to which the Senior School on Moulsari Avenue, DLF Phase III, Gurgaon was added in 1994. Later, in 2000, The Shri Ram School, Aravali was established in DLF Phase IV, Gurgaon.

All our campuses are child friendly centres that encourage students to enjoy learning and explore their own uniqueness. This helps them to not only to identify their own strengths but also apply their knowledge to interpret the world on their own terms.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Shri Ram School is to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes sound values, self discipline, motivation and excellence in learning. The school joins with parents and community to assist the students in developing skills to become independent self sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly in a global community.

The motto of The Shri Ram School is “Vidya Dadaati Vinayam” – from knowledge comes humility.

The Shri Ram Schools are progressive, secular, child centred, co-educational private schools, committed to providing quality education for all their students. The philosophy rests on the interpretation of `education` as drawing forth – drawing forth what already exists. The Shri Ram Schools impart education that results in well-formed minds and the impetus and environment to think.

The cornerstone of the philosophy of the school is the belief in each and every child, manifested in a school calendar encompassing the academic and the co-curricular offering opportunities for fostering diverse interests.

Inclusive Education is a pairing of philosophy and pedagogy with the aim of ensuring that no child, however different from expectations and general norms, feels alienated and inadequate. Each child must feel confident of himself or herself and his or her abilities and capacities as well as respected and wanted for what he or she is and therefore safe and secure. With this comes learning and developing, taking into account differences in strengths and shortcomings.

Children of The Shri Ram School are sensitised to accept and respect differences. This gives all children a chance to grow as individuals and to realise their own potential and to reach their goals.

To ensure that every child`s individual need is catered to, there is a Special Needs Department, which has been in existence since 1997.
