National curriculum Framework of School Education 2000 A.D. talks about multiple intelligence as opposed to the traditional concept of intelligence. Multiple intelligence views every individual as a unique person and the uniqueness influences the various ways in which learning takes place, an idea like this, which does not hold intelligence as a unitary concept, but a multiple attribute promotes personalization of education by connecting the learner’s total life to the learning in the classroom. Science Lab-Physics Lab

To provide in depth knowledge on wide –ranging theories on physics, Indus Public school has a well-designed Physics Laboratory which provides facilities to the students to conduct various activities, experiments and projects. The lab has equipment and apparatuses which can be used to understand various concepts and methods of measurements with greater accuracy, wave formation and propagation, phenomena involving reflection and refraction of light, properties of matter, electricity, magnetic effects of electric current, semiconductor devices etc. Many group activities and projects are being carried out by students under the guidance of the teachers.

Chemistry Lab

Chemistry Lab is equipped with all the apparatuses and equipments needed till the senior secondary level. Special care is taken to encourage innovativness among students to carry out projects related to their curriculum.

Life Science Lab

Life Science Lab is the hub of many experiments, self discoveries and experimentation in the true sense of the word. Group projects as well as individual experiments are carried out with enthusiasm in the tastefully designed lab. The advanced infrastructure of the lab is also supported with sufficient lab equipments and apparatus as per the needs and requirements of the curriculum.

Library

With education as its focus IPS has the brightest and best library. It houses tons of books and reference materials. Its aim is to encourage and inculcate reading habits among students and also ensure that staff and students are effective users of information.

Hostel & Food- Weekday Boarding

Mess Facility

Meals are provided to students in the dining hall which caters to 500 students at a time. Nutritious vegetarian food is prepared in the most hygienic conditions keeping in mind the health and diet of the child

School Clinic

Medical check up of students is done regularly and a record is maintained. Parents are informed if the attendant finds that a child needs special medical attention. Thereafter the parents are expected to keep the school doctor informed about the action taken.

Transport-Safe & Comfortable Transport

Students can avail the school transport according to the availability of seats. The routes of the school buses are drawn up and the parents should contact the school transport in charge for necessary details.

Bus Rules

• No child will be permitted to discontinue bus service in the middle of the session.
• All students using the school bus are expected to be at the bus stop at least five minutes before the arrival of the bus. The bus will not wait for late comers.
• The children should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.
• No student should come near the entry door of the bus until it has made a complete halt.
• All students must occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding their buses. No students should travel standing on the food-board. The students should obey the bus rules.
• The front door of the bus is the only authorized entrance and exit.
• The drivers are instructed to stop buses at the designated stops only, unless otherwise directed by the bus teacher. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters is always subjected to change.
• When the bus is in motion, students must neither move around in the bus nor expose their heads or arms outside the window.
• Students will be held responsible for any damage to buses caused by negligence or vandalism and will have to pay the fine.
• No student is allowed to eat in the bus.
• Discarding of trash or food either inside or outside buses is not permitted.
• Unruly behavior like shrieking and shouting is not permitted. Courteous behaviour is expected all the time.
• The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
• The bus teacher and bus monitors/ conductors are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the principal.

School Book Shop

All school books and article of stationery should be purchased from the school bus shop. For the purpose of uniformity, students are required to buy exercise books of the standard design, bearing the name of the school from the school book shop only.

Uniform items are available in the school uniform shop. Parents are requested to purchase the uniform items from the school uniform shop only so that the uniformity can be ensured.

Computer Lab

School has established two modern ICT labs featuring the latest hardware and software along with high speed Internet connectivity. Students are provided with computer education Programs which surpasses the CBSE stipulations and enables the students to apply what they have learnt in real life experiences. The ERP technology manages the school. Both teachers and students have access to get updates regarding activities and progress

Absence

• 80% attendance is compulsory for all students to appear in the final examination held at the end of the academic year.
• No leave is granted except on an application from parents or guardians, for plausible reasons only.
• Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee, at the discretion of the principal.
• A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate, permitting him/her to attend the school.
