ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, GUWAHATI

The Chief of the Army Staff announced the opening of Army Schools across the nation on January 15, 1980 (Army Day), with the goal of providing suitable educational opportunities for children of Army soldiers up to the 10+2 level. Four Army Schools were established in 1980 at Udhampur, Bangalore, Dehradun, and Ambala shortly after this announcement.
