Arts Colleges in India

Language Arts is divided into two main categories, namely, Literature and Language, where language in this case refers to both linguistic languages as well as specific languages. According to the International Council of Teachers of English, the five basic conceptual elements of the Language arts are reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing, i.e., visual literacy. Out of these five forms, writing is the one that is most commonly practiced and identified with as a subject which is why Language Arts can also be described as writing.

There are several universities in India, colleges affiliated to which offer courses in Language Arts. They select students for these courses on the basis of percentiles scored by them in their entrance tests. The percentage gained by the student at the class 12 levels is also given a lot of weightage.
