Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh came into existence under Punjab Govt’s Desh Bhagat University Act. The university derives its spirit of foundation from freedom fighter Sr. Lal Singh Ji; who fought for the independence of India and in 1972 his efforts of social work & his services in the freedom struggle were recognized by awarding him with “Tamra Patra” by Govt. of India, hence the name Desh Bhagat was contemplated. DBU has been established with the mission of pursuing excellence in higher education as envisioned by Sr. Lal Singh Ji.

DBU offers admission in courses at UG, PG and PhD levels. Some of the courses include BA, BTech, BBA, MTech, MBA, BCom, LLB and MCA among others. The students who wish to be considered for admission in different courses at Desh Bhagat University must register themselves online and offline.

Desh Bhagat University Admission UG Courses
For all the UG courses, students get the admission in Desh Bhagat University totally on merit-based. The eligibility criteria is 45% marks in class 12 from a recognised board. For the BAMS and BDS students need to qualify NEET Exam.

Desh Bhagat University provides accommodation to students on a first-come-first-served basis. Separate Hostel facility for boys and girls inside the DBU campus. In the Hostel Mess provides hygienic, nutritious meals. The residential student hostels are state-of-the-art and gender-segregated and extends an environment full of opportunities for personal growth while also incorporating a culture of shared living. Every hostel is supervised by a warden and a faculty-in-charge, who ensures that utmost care, is taken to provide the best amenities to the students.
A wide range of cultural, athletic and social activities are conducted for the merriment of the students. In addition to the various campus hubs of interaction, the common rooms in every hostel are popular for everyday get-togethers. Each room is designed as a comfortable
