The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will lead UGC NET 2018 on July 8, Sunday. In a short notice, the board has declared the changes in the UGC NET 2018 exam pattern and qualification/eligibility criteria. Students who clear the paper will be qualified for a junior research fellowship (JRF) or can be considered for the post of assistant professor. A point by point official notice will be distributed on the site cbsenet.nic.in on February 1. Registrations for the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 will start from March 6 2018 and will proceed till April 5 2018.

It will be of 100 questions and will contain 50 compulsory objective type questions. Each question will be of 2 marks and will be of a general nature and will test the research aptitude of the candidate. The span of a similar will be 60 minutes (9:30 am to 10:30 am).

One year ago, CBSE effectively directed NET on November 5 and around 9.30 lakh applicants had enrolled for the same. The exam was directed in 91 urban areas at 1700 exam focuses. To help in the differently abled applicants, 25 minutes extra time was accommodated paper– I and paper– II, while 50 minutes extra time was given to paper III to such competitors.
