Introduction about NCHMCT JEE

The Ministry of Education established the National Testing Agency (NTA), an independent and autonomous agency, to administer open and worldwide standard exams for admission to schools of higher learning.

For the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an independent agency of the Ministry of Tourism, the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) has been administered by NTA since 2019.

Admission Courses-

The B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Program, which is a three-year (six-semester) degree that prepares students for supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality industry, is offered by the National Council for Hotel Management and is recognized by JNU.

The curriculum offers managerial inputs in topics like hotel accounting, food safety & quality, and tourism marketing and management, as well as laboratory work in a variety of operational areas.

Only the NCHM JEE is accepted for admission to this program, and all connected institutions will accept the score for admission to the B.Sc. (HHA) Program at their respective institutions. According to NEP 2020, students have the choice to complete a fourth year of study to earn an honors degree.

Eligibility Critetia-

A candidate must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized educational board with English as one of the subjects to be eligible to register for NCHM JEE 2023. The qualifying exam must have included English as a required, optional, or functional topic for the candidate.

Candidates who will be taking the 10+2 or an equivalent exam can register provisionally, but they must provide documentation that they passed the qualifying exam by September 30, 2023. Original certificates and papers, including category and PwD certificates, must be verified before admission.

 If a candidate's admission is revoked because they were subsequently discovered to be ineligible because they were unable to present valid documentation proving that they had passed the required exams or met the requirements for age, category, or PwD.

Exam Pattern-

The NCHM JEE 2023 test schedule has been detailed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The test will have 200 multiple-choice questions and five sections: English Language, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, and Aptitude for the Service Sector.

 Four marks will be given for each right response, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. The paper will be accessible in Hindi and English, and once the language has been chosen, it cannot be changed.

Reservations-

There are 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC-NCL, and 10% for General-EWS reservations in Central Government Institutions.

 Candidates with disabilities of at least 40% are additionally given a 5% preference in each category if they are capable of completing the necessary practical tasks.

 In each Central Institute, one place is allotted on a super-numerary basis for Kashmiri migrants and Pandits/Hindu families (non-migrants). Candidates must qualify for NCHM JEE 2023 and present appropriate documents.

 Payments-

Candidates can use one of the payment methods listed below to pay the exam fee per the Information at a Glance through any bank or payment gateway. Except for debit card payments (Visa/Mastercard) made through Canara Bank, the candidate is required to pay the applicable service/processing charges per transaction and GST at 18%. The followings are the available payment methods and associated fees:

Canara Bank does not charge for net banking, whereas other banks do so for a fee of 5.00 plus GST.When paying with a debit card through Canara Bank or another bank, there is no fee.

Credit Card: Domestic transactions have a charge of 0.80% of the fee + GST, while international transactions have a charge of 2.35% of the fee + GST.

Transactions made through the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) are free up to Rs 2000. Transactions over Rs 2000 incur a 0.65% + GST fee. Wallet: For wallet transactions, there is a fee of 0.8% + GST.

Results-

The final answer keys will be used to determine the NCHM JEE-2023 results, and no objections to the answer key(s) will be taken into consideration. Candidates can get their scorecards from the official website, and the results will be determined based on the real scores they received.

No provision is made for the results to be checked again, evaluated again, or totaled again, and no inquiries in this regard will be answered. Following the results announcement, NTA will give the NCHM JEE Score 2023 to NCHMCT and AKTU to conduct B.Sc. (HHA) course admissions counseling.
