About LLM in Corporate law Course

LL.M with a major in Corporate Law is a postgraduate degree course which is offered at the university level in India. The course can be done full time or part time. The general duration of the course is two years but in the case of part time it may vary.

Purpose of the course

The prime objective of this course is to equip students with the structure and interplay of corporate law at the domestic as well as international levels.

What is LL.M (Corporate Law)?

LL.M in Corporate Law is a professional law degree that covers both the privacy laws that focus on the individual’s transactions and the public laws that focus on the continuation/ regulation of financial markets.

The course also focuses on key areas such as issuing debt, the legal framework for equity capital, insolvency, and takeovers, etc.

Eligibility

• Students applying for this course must have a Bachelor’s degree (in a related stream) from a recognized university in which they must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate.

• SC/ ST students have 5% of relaxation in the minimum aggregate.

Students having an L.L.M. degree in corporate law can be placed in law firms, banks, and international organizations. They can also seek employment as asset managers and insurers etc.
