B.Tech in polymer engineering gives students an in-depth knowledge of the various concepts and principles of this field of study. There are various opportunities in both the public and private sectors for students who have completed this course.
This 4-year long course follows the 8-semester module. Of course, for diploma students, this is a 3-year course, as they will gain lateral entry into the second year. Course fees for these undergraduate programs range from 2 to 5 Lakh INR. Students can opt for the public sector through the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas and other government-aided organizations. In the private sectors, opportunities are available in aerospace, automotive, IT, plastic and rubber, computing, and even medical sciences.
This course allows students to understand in complete detail the production of polymers like resin, adhesives, rubber, fibers, and plastics. The various techniques used in the production of these polymers are introduced to students. Students also learn how to innovate in this field to ensure better efficiency in the production of polymers and their applications.
Students are required to complete their senior secondary examination with an average of 50%. They should have opted for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at this grade.
