M.Sc in Mental Health Nursing Course overview
M. Sc. Mental Health Nursing or Master of Science in Mental Health Nursing is a two-year post-graduation towards specializing in treating patients with mental disorders like schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, dementia, or depression. This course requires a lot of skill and sensitivity and hence can be opted only by individuals who are unique, dynamic, and have the ability to think out of the box.
The course enables candidates to understand the diverse physical, psychological, spiritual, and social requirements of individuals and trains them towards becoming responsible, sensitive, and skilled mental health nurses. Various mental health issues are explored in this course from the perspective of both inter-professionalism and inter-discipline. Examining contemporary mental health topics and exploring the research work done on it for maximum improvement of professional practice in the field of mental health is what this course targets towards.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc in Mental Health Nursing Course
- Students must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a college or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to secure a minimum of 55% marks in their Bachelor’s level degree.
- Candidate should be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
