The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology, and Applied Nutrition in Bhubaneswar grew out of the Food Craft Institute, which was founded in 1973 to meet the need for skilled professionals in the hospitality industry. Following an upgrade in 1981, the institute began providing education and training in various aspects of the hospitality trade.

Facilities-

The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology, and Applied Nutrition in Bhubaneswar provides its students with a well-equipped infrastructure.

There are large classrooms, training restaurants, conference halls, food production labs, model hotel rooms, a housekeeping lab, and a front office lab at the institute. The institute also has two computer labs with internet access, and it is growing to include more advanced classrooms, laboratories, and a multipurpose hall.

About-

In 1990, the Union Territory Administration of Chandigarh provided a Government Sarai Building in Sector 32-A for the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Catering, and Nutrition to be established.

The institute is one of 21 Central IHMs established by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, to train young men and women to meet the hospitality industry's manpower requirements.

Facilities-

The AIHMCN provides a variety of facilities to ensure that its students have a comfortable and enriching learning experience. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, as well as well-equipped labs, a modern computer lab, a large library, a cafeteria, and an auditorium.

The cafeteria at the institute serves healthy food, and the auditorium can seat over 200 people, making it an ideal venue for events. Students can learn and practice laundry and kitchen management skills in other facilities, such as a laundry lab and a training kitchen.
