The S R Educational & Charitable Trust was established in 2004 April with the avowed object of providing highest service by the spread of knowledge.

The Trust aims towards providing quality education by creation of a centre of academic excellence for promoting studies in kerala , and also aims to serve society by providing better health care facilities as well. 

Sri Sankara Dental College was established under the aegis of The S R Educational and Charitable trust to prepare students for a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Surgery. The first academic session commenced in 2005-06. The Dental College & Hospital are committed to providing state of the art facilities & health care to the community of this region.

Sri Sankara Dental College proudly possesses the complete know-how to prepare students as professionals of first rate. We have a plethora of doctors, dental surgeons & auxiliary staff who are highly competent & well-versed in the latest clinical skills. Our dental college also organizes special scientific activities like lectures & scientific presentations by well-known academicians from different parts of country & overseas. Continuing dental health programmes are regularly held for education & motivation of the rural people pertaining to dental problems & complete oral health care. The students of this college have topped in university exams. 

Our dental Hospital has an Out Patient Department (OPD) which is attended by 75 -100 patients every day. There is an attached Medical Hospital facility of 1000 beds & 2 operation theatres wherein minor and major surgeries, Cancer treatments & various other treatments are provided.
