AZAD INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, LUCKNOW was established in 1998 under the aegis of Azad Educational Society in order to train students in engineering field.

A Technical Campus under AICTE provision is a campus which offers education in one or more technical programs approved by the Council. A Technical Campus empowers utilization of resources of all its institutions as integrated resource for sole purpose of benefiting its students to provide them quality facilities and imparting education to them at higher standards of technical as well as from state-of-the-art facilities.

AGEI established another milestone by attaining Technical Campus status from AICTE for the benefit of its student, being the first to do so in Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh thus certifying its standard of education and facilities provided to its students.

Azad Technical Campus thus attained supremacy in utilizing its resources to fulfill its primary objective of imparting value and quality education to every student on its campus.

Lucknow the internationally known capital city of Uttar Pradesh has always been a multicultural city. Courtly manners, beautiful gardens, poetry, music, and fine cuisine of the city are well known amongst Indians and students of South Asian culture and history. Lucknow is popularly known as “The City of Nawabs”.

Lucknow, the golden city of the east' retains an old world charm that fascinates one and all. Regarded as one of the finest cities of India, Lucknow emanates a culture that combines emotional warmth, a high degree of sophistication, courtesy and a love for gracious living. This sublime cultural richness famous as 'Lucknowi Tehzeeb' blends the cultures of two communities living side by side for centuries, sharing similar interests, and the nationally acclaimed soft spoken Lucknowi dialect. Many of the cultural traits and customs peculiar to Lucknow have become living legends today.

The people of historic & now the cosmopolitan city of Lucknow have, over time, assimilated ideas from all the major civilizations of the world and have synthesized their unique traditions of sophistication and accommodation in all their day to day activities. Stay at Lucknow provides opportunities of interacting with its people and getting into the culture that has helped in bringing the status of ‘Soft Power’ to India through its IT systems, films, music, animation...and much more.

Lucknow’s rich cultural traditions have always been a source of inspiration and ideas towards the development of service sector in the region. To be relevant to the city and its surrounding population, Azad Group with its technological orientation, plans to integrate the innovation and entrepreneurship development in the services areas, with the main stream education.

Taking the clue from the “Global Demands”, activities are being undertaken in the emerging digital technology based service areas like animation, games, fashion design, e-health management and telemedicine, e-marketing, e-tutoring and e-distance education etc. The city is fast emerging as an educational hub & IT hub in near future. Considering the possibilities that methods of Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Social Entrepreneurship may have rather large impact on the local opportunities, the Group also plans to take up activities in these directions.
