FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA (FTII), PUNE was established in 1960. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. It is a member of CILECT (International Liaison Centre of Schools of Cinema and Television). FTII has won 17 national awards and 1 international award for their films. The college offers three year Post graduate diploma courses in editing, film direction, cinematography & audiography and various 2 years & one year courses.
The college provide separate accommodation for boys and girls with all modern facilities. IIFT has two Film studio floors - Studio I & II - of dimensions 175 ft X 80 ft and 97 ft X 51 ft. There are 4 Nos. of 35 mm Cameras and 4 Nos. of 16 mm cameras for film shooting. It also provides film & video editing facilities from the low end to high end.
