Government Polytechnic, Ambala City is situated in the heart of Ambala City. This city is known for its production of scientific instruments all over the world. Later on institute was developed to metal works Institute in 1933 which perceived in 1948 and from that point it was known as Government Technical Institute. In 1958, institute was renamed as Government Polytechnic. It is situated in Ambala city - Chandigarh highway. Institute is 1 KM away from the bus stand & 1.5 KM. from the railway station. The institute is spread over a land area of 24.6 acres.
