International Maritime Academy (IMA) is a section 25 registered private ltd comapany to run the maritime courses & established on the year 1999 in the chennai city. The IMA is Approved by the Directorate General of shipping (DGS), Ministry of shipping, Government of India vide their letter No: 3-TR(48/99) on Dec 1999 for the issuance of Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) wherever required. In order to provide the technical education in the field of Merchant Navy, IMA was established.The courses conducted at IMA are highly job oriented in the worldwide shipping companies. The young boys are motivated properly & trained in a disciplined manner to work with various national in the International shipping companies.
