Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and Technology was started in the year 1995, by M/s Parameswara Educational Academy, a registered Educational Society, Nandyal. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi with an initial intake of 220 and permitted by the State Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. It started functioning in a temporary location i.e. in the campus of The Nandyal Public School.It is located in a 32.04 acre sprawling campus. The foundation stone for the new infrastructure on N.H.-18 was laid on 09.03.1996 by Late Sri P.V.Narasimha Rao, the former Prime Minister of India and Sri N.Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
It is the dedicated commitment and efforts of our Chairman, the man with vision “Vidyarathna” Dr.M.SanthiRamudu, who started the institution with a motto “EDUCATION FOR PEACE”. RGMCET is a road of elegant educational journey, yet path breaking in different dimensions.
The philosophical thoughts and treasured principles of the founder chairman are the basic canons that govern the working of the College. These are translated into vision, mission and goals of the College. All stakeholders of the College: the management, faculty, staff and students consider these as biblical rules and work in unison to further the cause of education.
