About Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology
Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2009. The Institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University.
The idea of forming an association of past SOCETians stemmed from the desire for fellowship and the pull of an emotional bond with the Institute where students of Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering spending the decisive years of their life.
It was at the SOCET, that the SOCETians were molded to take on the challenge of the real world that awaited till now. SOCET has contributed a lot in shaping lives both at the personal and professional levels.
It was the sentiments that led to the foundation of the SOCETAA (Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology Alumni Association) on 25th May 2013.
Shri. Janak Khandwala is the founder president of the Association.
On the day of the launch the management has provided each passing out students with letter of Inheritance, class photo, CD containing contact details of all batches. The gathering was followed by dinner and Musical party hosted by the management.

Are you in Class â XI/XII ? Are you confused for getting admission in field?
Hello friends, I am Tirth Patel , currently persuing B.E â Information Technology from Silver Oak college of Engineering and Technology, Affiliated by Gujarat Technical University. Are you in Class â XI/XII ? Are you confused for getting admission in field? Just go for nearest seminar for career guidance. After class XI , I had to think what I should need to do after my class XII. There are multiple options. I think for my passion then think and think and thinkâ¦. After long terms and help from my friends and family I decided that I am very passionate about computer and technology . So , I decided to go in this computer field but there are two choices . Computer and Information Technology ? What should I need to pick as my base subject ? I think again then I come to a point that I need to enrol for Information Technology cause I am not interested in Hardware type of technology and there are many subjects in computer engineering that will make me feel nervous. So , my plan was set to getting admission into Information Technology. Now, turn came to getting knowledge of Universities in your area/district/state. In engineering , I am living in Ahmedabad , therefore I need to go for state university which prefer most of the student who are getting average marks and average financial crisis. There are ACPC commission in Guajarat to getting admission . So after clearance of my class XII. I formed my rank in their applicants. So , According to my ranking I was able to get admission in to my favourite and near by college name SILVER OAK COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. In my time , There are two marks consider for getting admission in State University , First class âXII transcripts(Resultant marksheet) and JEE-MAIN score. I got 70% and 90 marks in JEE-MAIN. So, my rank was set to around 12,600 . Last year cut-off marks set to 15,000 to getting admission in Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology. I was not going for any Tuition classes for JEE-MAIN. I prepare for exam by myself. Tips for getting the best college in engineering is to get 100 up marks in JEE-MAIN. Now, When I got admitted in my college. I remember the first day of my college, celebrity Hritik Roshan and Yami Gautam is about to come in our college for promotion of their film â Kaabil â. Here my college is divided into two college : 1) Silver oak (SOCET) 2) Aditya Silver Oak (ASOIT) I was admitted in SOCET. There is one library with huge amount of educational books and lots of books on different subjects. Infrastructure is quite well. There is no playground but it has quite enough space to play sports . Faculties are well educated from NIITs/IITs . They are friendly behaviour zone person. My college is no.1 in 2009 according to my research . So, I regularly check my collegeâs facebook page for currently placed students list in well known companies. Placement cell is available in college. My college is also roled towards extra curricular activities more than educational book related study. Now, about my choice is succeed or not? Itâs depend on your knowledge developed in college life during your study. You need to gain analytical, logical , reasoning skills via my college provided soft-skills lecture in college within regular classes. I think that my college is fulfil my training towards my goal/ ambition. I hope you will get admission in your favourite field and well-known college.
